-Having someone to believe in you is really important -
It is said that all famous people have had someone who encouraged them to fulfill their dreams and have been on their side and believed in them when no one else did. Carol Burnett is one of this people and how different would have been her life, if she did not have her grandmother at her side!
Carol Burnett parents were confronting alcohol problems when Carol was a little girl and her grandmother was the one who took care of her and her sister mostly all the time. This grandmother was a very special woman which was ready to give everything for these to little girls and wanted that they get the best.
Even though they had very few money, when she managed to save some pennies, the grandma used to go with her two nieces to movies. In this way, Carol started to love this new world which appeared on the screen and wanted to be part of it. Her grandma was a professional pianist and even though they had no piano, she used to sing with the girls and their mother popular songs and then was the time when she realized that they had a very beautiful voice.
Even when Carol grew up, was to university and decided to switch from journalism to theatre and English, her grandmother still believed in her and after she begun to play different roles, her grandmother was her most devoted viewer; she watched every show in which her granddaughter participated and it remained famous the fact that Carol was grabbing her ear in every show as a sign for her grandmother that everything is all right and that she loves her. Even after she passed, Carol still had that habit.
Carol is very grateful for everything that her grandmother did for her and she knows that she could not be what she is without her. Through her way to be and by giving the support that her niece needed, Carol Burnett's grandmother did not only helped her niece to become what she did, she also opened our eyes to see how important is to offer support to the ones we love.
